Top Rides
There are a number of rides and slides at Otter Creek. But if you want to keep your whole family happy, we recommend starting with these top three.
The first thing we’d recommend doing is getting on Alpine Slide, which is a wet slide that dumps you into a giant pool below. For younger kids, there’s also Splash Pad; it’s a big circular area where kids can play under different types of sprinklers for hours.
And lastly, don’t miss River Runner—it’s an exciting white-water rafting ride! It starts out slow but then quickly picks up speed as it spirals around.
“What a cute little water park! Very clean and a great atmosphere! 2 out of the 3 water slides were super fun! The green body slide is a bit slow, but nicer for the younger kids. The pool was super clean, and BIG! had 5 lifeguards on stand by the entire time! Would come here again!!”
Two Deep Water Slides
These are two of Ottercreek’s most popular features. The bottom of each slide is large and shallow, allowing even small children a safe way down while having fun splashing around and getting wet.
At full speed, these slides feel like you’re flying through a river on an inner tube—exactly as they should be. The lines can get long during busier days at Ottercreek, but they move quickly.
To ride both slides from start to finish with minimal breaks between, you should allow about half an hour or so. This time will vary if there are waits for rafts or tubes.
But everyone gets at least one round trip before someone new reaches the head of the line. Children under 36 inches tall must wear life jackets when riding slides; those over 36 inches tall may not use them.
“We went to Otter Creek last week and it didn’t disappoint. The kids loved all the slides. It was not crowded and the lines were not as long as some other water parks. I loved the bigger pool area where I could cool off and play with the kids. We ate lunch from there and it was good. The staff was very friendly and always had a smile on their face. We have our next return date planned for in a few weeks before school starts back.”
Two Themed Pools with Attached Slides
The Wave and The Freefall are multi-story slides that plunge down from separate towers into their own swimming pools at Otter Creek. Both slide types come with their own set of special features, such as wide steps on The Wave slide or an open feeling on The Freefall slide.
Whichever you choose, you’ll be getting an amazing experience. Pools mean more than just water for splashing around. They also provide access to a whole new range of activities available on or below the surface, like diving off walls or jumping off diving boards.
And if you’re not a great swimmer, don’t worry—each pool comes with its own set of lifeguards and even slides of its own. We definitely recommend trying them out (just make sure you follow safety protocol!).
“This was our 1st time at Otter Creek and we loved it! The slides and pool were great for our elementary school-aged kids. They do have a concession stand that serves snacks, drinks, and pizza but I would recommend bringing lunch and eating at your car as they kept running out of food.”
Family Fun Area
With a lazy river, big slides, and a relaxing pool, there is something for everyone. The children will love Otter Creek’s Family Fun Area featuring two gigantic 200-foot slides that wind their way down through four levels of twisty fun.
Parents can rest easy knowing that Otter Creek is a certified family-friendly attraction and that lifeguards are on duty at every pool and pool area. Infants who cannot walk must wear personal floatation devices (PFDs) with secure fasteners/buckles. But on the bright side, PFDs are available at no cost during park hours at each slide platform.
“Great place to bring the family and cool off on a hot day. Splash pad for the kids. Three fun slides plus a little kid’s slide. Nice pool to chill in. Friendly staff. Definitely recommend.”
Leisure Pool
If you’re looking for a laid-back way to enjoy Otter Creek, check out their leisure pool. The pool has room for all with 7000 sq. ft. It makes an excellent place for kids and parents who don’t want too much excitement on their vacation. Just remember that with any theme park activity—no matter how slow or sedate—you should bring plenty of sunscreens and frequently reapply to protect your skin from those harmful UV rays!
“This is a wonderful water park from age 1 to adult my grandson loves the splash pad and pool and my youngest son can jump into the pool and has plenty of fun going down the slides. There are a lot of lifeguards, so I feel safe while he is going from slide to pool. All the adults enjoy the relaxing environment.”
Swim Lessons
Don’t know how to swim? Otter creek provides swimming lessons for kids and adults. You can sign up for lessons before your first day at Ottercreek or on a later visit.
Check out their website to find out what days and times they offer sessions during peak season and regular season. You’ll also need your own swimsuit, towel, towel dryer, food, drinks/water bottle (alcohol prohibited), and sunscreen (for outside activities). The website even tells you where you’ll find food inside of Otter Creek—with options including pizza, beer & wine, and hot dogs.

Concession Stands
There are four concession stands at Otter Creek. Two of them sell drinks, and two of them sell food. One sells popcorn, snow cones, and ice cream. The other sells more traditional foods like hot dogs, burgers, and chicken strips.
Both sell chips and soda as well. There’s also a small stand that sells souvenirs like hats and shirts with logos from Otter Creek on them. Of course, you can always bring your own snacks, too, if you don’t want to spend any money while at Otter Creek!
