Artisphere 2023
Ready for Artisphere 2023? This annual art festival celebrates the best art Greenville has to offer.
On the official website, you’ll find works from some great local artists in the area. My cousin participated in this event one time.
In addition to the visual art being showcased, you can also get to enjoy some live music and tasty food. Here’s more information about what to expect at this event.
When is Artisphere in 2023?

Artisphere will be held this year from May 12th to May 14th in downtown Greenville. Some of the exhibits you’ll find include:
- Artists of the Upstate
- Artists on the rise

As the event organizers note, there will be more to do than just look at art. There will be an art lab with workshops that allow you to participate in making art. Some of the workshops you can try out include:
- Painting a clay butterfly
- Wheel throwing
- Kintsugi
You’ll find all kinds of art at this festival, from digital art and drawings to jewelry and metalworks. There’s bound to be something artistic you’ll like here.
Enjoy great local food
Every year the event features local Greenville restaurants to showcase their best dishes on Main Street. Some of the local places you’ll get to enjoy are:
- Society Sandwich Bar and Social Club
- Latin Flavorz
- Abanico
Live music
In addition to the artists and restaurants featured, there’s also going to be fun live music. There will be a variety of singers and bands, including:

History of Artisphere
Artisphere was founded in 2003. The goal was to create a nationally recognized Fine Arts festival to improve the economy and quality of life in South Carolina.
In 2019, the artists’ sales averaged $9,730, and the event’s economic impact is reported to have grossed $9.1 million.
It’s a win-win, with people having a good time and supporting the local community. Individuals can also feel free to make a contribution to Artisphere to continue supporting the arts in Greenville.
